Valentine's Day

On Saturday for Valentine's Day,  we kicked the day off with a Valentine's brunch which consisted of some strawberry stuffed croissants, bacon, sausage, eggs, heart-shaped toast, red velvet pancakes, and brownies... the boys were in heaven! We spent the day together at home and for dinner we went to Anna Mae's, a popular Mennonite Restaurant and Bakery in our area with the kids and some friends. The food is always wonderful and Brent couldn't resist the Little Janes, it's a donut stuffed with a whipped cream filling, sooooo amazing!

On Sunday we headed up to my parents for the night. Brent and I watched some local hockey while my Mom and Dad looked after the kids. But before we left, Jack found my ice cream stash in the freezer and decided to give Max and himself one...

photo 1Our Valentine's weekend and Family Day was as simple as can be, relaxing and spending lots of quality time together. Sometimes it's nice to do nothing :)

I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's weekend and got your filling of chocolate and pretty flowers!
