Our Weekend
This past weekend we spent at home, planning to stay low key. If anyone knows my husband, you know he can't sit still for more then an hour. Brent always needs to be busy doing something! Usually our weekends consist of packing our bags and heading to our parents or some sort of social activities... our weekends are never dull. Even though we spent the weekend at home, I am whooped... that snowman building and Christmas shopping will get you. We kicked our Saturday morning off with a delicious breakfast consisting of bacon and Dutch pancakes! This was my first attempt at Dutch pancakes (they are similar to crepes) and my mother-in-law always makes them - her's are definitely 10 times better!
Brent made a special trip to the grocery store that morning just to get some chocolate chips for his pancakes, and he came back with the Reeses kind too, mmmmm. 
We also crossed another item off our Winter Bucket List! We built a 8 ft Snowman, and Jack likes to call him Tom Tom :) If you follow me on Instagram or my blog page on Facebook, you will also see my photos and tags #WinterFunBL

On Sunday, my mom came down for a visit. My mom, Max and I did some Christmas shopping while Brent and Jack stayed home, likely playing 'hide' in Jacky's bed and eating lots of Presidents Choice 'Candy Cane Chocolate Fudge Crackle' ice cream. If you have never tried this ice cream before, you must! It's the bomb ;)

Now that Christmas is less then 5 weeks away, we are busier then ever with everything Christmas. No wonder Christmas is here and gone in a blink! Next up on the blog, Holiday Gift Guide's for Him, Her, and Kid's... stay tuned! *The temperature went up on Sunday, and sadly Tom Tom started to melt and he came crashing down :( Jacky is really sad! But we will have plenty of snow to make 10 more Tom Tom's this winter.
