Holiday Gift Guide for Toddler Boy

Holiday Gift Guide for Toddler BoyNeed: 2- Piece Snowsuit - This is something Jack has needed. I can already picture him running out the patio door in his pj's! Like most kids who grow out of everything so quick, I bought Jack a 3T snowsuit, that way it will fit him next year too. *This snowsuit is now on sale!Want: Raindrop Teepee, John Deere Treads Tractor with Wagon - The Raindrop Teepee is the cutest gift, its perfect for both boy and girl and their little imaginations. And, of course, I had to add in a 'John Deere Tractor', Jacky's favourite toy!Wear: Camo Beanie, Photo- Real Tee, Distressed Jeans, Faux Leather Boots - The camo beanie looks so cool on little guys, and its also on sale. The grizzly bear tee is something Jack would pick out... what boy wouldn't want to wear this tee!? These cute distressed jeans are from a shop on etsy called Love Sick Threads they have some super cute and edgy denim for kids. Those boots are something I would put on my boys and because they are high top, it makes them the perfect stylish boot for winter.Read: That's not my reindeer - I love how simple, bright and colourful these books are for kids. My kids love flipping through these books.Christmas is so much more exciting when you have kids, I mean we're always excited for Christmas, right!? Now that Jack is getting a little older, he is understanding more about Christmas and Santa Claus. He already doesn't like Santa and he hasn't even sat on his lap yet *sigh. Jack is also clueing into gift giving, so I have created a Holiday Gift Guide for Toddler Boy using the 4 Gift Rule: Want, Need, Read and Wear. My husband and I agree that we want our kids growing up appreciating their gifts and for those gifts to have some meaning to them... And of course it's Christmas, they are bound to get spoiled by everyone else. By having a 4 gift rule, it is a great way to base a few gifts off of something they want, need, read and wear. Although, someday that gift rule is going to get altered when they want something big!The past Christmas' we have never really bought Jack anything huge, our families always ask us what Jack want's/ needs for Christmas, and by the time we give them Jack's Christmas list there's not much left for us to buy... We usually keep it pretty simple and buy him something he randomly see's and love's! Last year it was a plush puppy dog stuffy, and did it ever make him so happy... it's simple things :)

Decorate Christmas tree, another off the Winter Bucket List!IMG_1684 IMG_1705 IMG_1697 IMG_1694 IMG_8022 IMG_8050 Christmas Tree 2014

Do you have any gift rules for your kids? What are some items that are on your kid's Christmas list? What have you been doing to kick off Christmas? I'd love to hear!
