Little DeKonings + Breakfast Television

Last Wednesday morning, Autumn (the curator behind Hello Yellow and Hello Holiday) and I arrived at the Scarborough Leon's Furniture early morning where I had the privilege to appear on Breakfast Television! Leon's was giving away memory foam pillows to the first 100 customers and five amazing door-crashers to kick off Black Friday! It was quite the experience, and lets just say I was nervous wreck. I have never been much of a public speaker, so in my head I was building it up to be something similar to that kind of experience. After the first minute of my segment, I started to get a little more comfortable in front of the camera and everyone surrounding; Jennifer and Shai made the experience flow naturally! The projects I chatted a little about were my "Fa la la la la Marquee Sign" and "Inviting the Outdoors in" tablescape. Lucy from Craftberry Bush's "A Wintery Wonderland" was another feature from Hello Holiday. The whole atmosphere was lively and the Leon's team is full of amazing and witty people, making the experience both awesome and memorable!

Leon's Hello Holiday Autumn, Lucy and I -- We took a picture the night before during set-up, but neither Autumn or I looked nearly as glamorous, lol, so we had a little chuckle about showing a before and after of ourselves. It was so awesome meeting a fellow blogger, Lucy, she really is the sweetest girl!

It was such an honour to showcase my projects which were created for the Leon's Hello Holiday entertainment guide. This experience is something I would never have done years ago, but I'm pleased to have pushed myself out of my comfort zone... you can only grow doing so ;)
