Christmas Home Tour 2014

LittleDekoningHomeTour2Welcome to Little DeKoning's Christmas Home Tour! You know all those amazing Christmas inspired pins we all add to our Pinterest boards? YES, so AMAZING and inspiring! Since I am inspired by other peoples homes, creativity and because I have a passion for decorating... I wanted to share my own home.Enjoy! :)

Can you tell I kinda like the colour red? I love how incredibly vibrant it appears against everything. I also love wood and rustic elements in a home, it adds so much warmth! In my home I like to keep things fairly simple and minimalistic throughout the year. I am not one to change my Christmas theme every year (it can get expensive) and I still like my current theme. My idea of changing it up each year is adding something new to my Christmas collection. This wreath from Target (below) is one of those items, and sometimes I will eliminate older things if my style and taste change. Although this is our third Christmas in our home, I may change things next year... maybe a new colour scheme!?

The basket below is for the kid's mittens and hats. I am hoping to build a new bench with two inserts so that Jack and Max will each have their own basket for their things.booties2The cutest little faux fur boots!reddoormirrorDIY burlap garland stairsStairway where our stockings hang cookies1cookies2Cookies and hot chocolate for Santa of course, and another awesome owl mug!
