Wire Chair Makeover
I few weeks ago I was driving through a small town that I always pass on my way to my parents home. There are a few little antique and thrift stores on the main street, so I usually drive 10 km so I can take a peek at the things displayed outside. Well, I saw these 2 wire chairs and I looped around, took a look at the price and was sold. $5 for the two, perfect! I took them up to my parents and thought about what I was going to do with them: put them outside on our front porch, a chair for my basement desk, put in the kids room or find a table so the kids could have a sitting area in the basement. Well I still don't exactly have a home for them, but in the meantime I wanted to spray paint them a fun aqua blue!
Before and After Wire Chair Makeover
BeforeThese wire chairs were turning yellow, but overall they were in great condition.I gave them a quick wash with soap and water. Once they were dry, I used two cans of Krylon ColorMaster in Ocean Breeze and did three coats for maximum coverage.
After the first (light) coat.*When spray painting anything, its always better to do a few extra coats then two heavy coats.AfterThe chairs turned out amazing and the colour is so refreshing! Best $15 spent :)
Now, what would you do with these pretty chairs!?
