IDS TORONTO: PART 1

IDS1.jpg

This past Saturday my girlfriend and I visited the Interior Design Show in Toronto. Autumn and I both share a passion for interior design and all things creative... so why not go and be blown away with 2015's current inspiration! The rooms, products, brands and small-batch designers were incredible. From fabric to plants, carpet to wood, furniture and appliances, there was something for everyone to explore. These products, people and places make the design world so memorizing! Below, I am going to share some of my favourite parts of IDS with you!IDS1..

The kitchens below were presented by IKEA using their new kitchen line Sektion. Simply amazing

Style at Home inspired by a Classic Pastry Bistro

IDS-frenchbistrokitchenStunning multi-coloured hexagon tiles add so much dimension. The gold towel bar across the island is such a brilliant idea while adding sophisticated detail. IDS19The shelving above the sink, adds layers of intriguing elements in the kitchen while the gold brackets on the shelves create a dramatic statement against the white wall. The mirror gallery wall adds so much interest and is something I have never seen before. Love it!IDS18Bread filled pantry, you will never go hungry with all of thisIDS21A bike hanging from the ceiling... very cleverIDS20Part of the cozy breakfast nook. The black glass window, glided gold mirror create an elegant corner while throwing a bit of an industrial flare into the mix with these black sconces. The cloud inspired wallpaper ties everything in by creating a relaxing setting. You may notice through the glare in the window that teal was added into the mix... adding a vivid colour brings liveliness to this area!

UpCountryContemporary furniture for modern living, with an eye to unique designs

IDS31IDS9Cowhide rugs were seen all over IDS which must mean they are an on going trend, who wants one of these!? I love how this design by UpCountry features rustic urban with a little bit of industrial. The brick wall panels are by Century Architexture, a company that engineers a replicated version of century-old walls. The wall panels are made from sandblasted reclaimed brick that is low maintenance and extremely durable. I need a white brick wall in my home, asap!  IDS32IDS10How about chalkboard brick! Can you find our names?

These incredable place settings were by William AshleyIDS3Bleus D'Ailleurs by Hemes bring nomadic blue to the table.

IDS2 IDS4Medusa Gala by Versace for Rosenthal is luxurious and complements the glamourous lifestyle.  This serving plate is made of pure gold, can you believe it?

This is my first round-up of inspiring design at IDS Toronto! Do any of these inspire you?
